The Role
You’re responsible to work alongside our frontend developer and UX designer to extend Manukai’s product. You will be responsible for translating the interface design from Figma into scalable software. In order to evaluate the evolving user needs, you will create prototypes in Figma and perform user-test and performance measurement to evaluate customer satisfaction and value-add of our solution. You will be working closely with the founders, engineers, and our clients to shape how users interact with our tools. You are the advocate who ensures that the user is at the core of every product decision.
About You
You are an experienced frontend engineer with a strong background in design. Everything you do is user-centric and you strive to bring state-of-the-art technology into products that create value for the customer. You don’t shy away from complex data and you know how to transform them into insights for the user. You know the impact and importance of manufacturing and engineering and you are keen to improve their processes. You thrive in fast-moving environments and enjoy wearing multiple hats: researching, wireframing, prototyping, implementing, testing, and polishing. You’re a self-starter who contributes proactively, enjoys solving tough challenges and removes hurdles. You are based in, or eligible to work in, Switzerland.
Responsibilities
- Prepare prototypes to perform user-tests and improve the design of product features
- Translate the validated designs into a scalable and maintainable frontend solutions
- Evaluate the usability and value-add of the software with the client and integrate learnings back into working code
- Closely interact with the clients and advocate their needs to our cross-functional teams of software engineers, ML engineers, CAM engineers, and the founding team
- Maintain good software quality and sustainable development; review code developed by other team members and provide feedback to ensure best practices (for example, testability, efficiency, and style)

- Degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Design, Engineering, Computer Science, or 3+ years of professional experience building software in lieu of a degree

The Role
This generalist role provides deep insights into fundraising, strategy, and operations of an early-stage industrial tech startup. You will be working directly with the founders, where you manage tasks across market validation, investor data-room, OKRs and Agile product development, and go-to-market execution.
