We Enable Building Better Products, Faster
Our team brings cutting-edge algorithms to manufacturing without asking anyone to change how they work. We make expert knowledge reusable and scalable, and we automate repetitive tasks using the data you already have.

Build with Purpose. Grow with the Team.
At Manukai, we work on real problems with real impact. We combine advanced AI algorithms, human-centered design, and deep respect for craftsmanship in manufacturing. If you’re looking for meaningful work, a sharp team, and a culture that cares — we’d love to meet you.
CAD/CAM Integration Engineer C# and C++ (Starting Q3 2026, 80-100%, Zürich or Remote)
About Us
Manukai stands for Manu_facturing and Kai_zen, a Japanese methodology of continuous improvement, that translates to "change for better." In ancient Greek, Kai_ros means "the opportune moment."
We are a Spin-Off from ETH Zürich, aiming to bridge the gap between metal part design and machining. Our technology empowers manufacturers to prioritize their clients' needs and deliver high-quality products to the market. Our primary focus is making an immediate impact, with client satisfaction our utmost priority.
The Role
You deliver solutions and algorithms to Manukai's CAM engineering team to solve common challenges. You enable seamless communication between the different Manukai modules and CAM Add-Ins. You are responsible for defining, documenting, and coordinating the software integrations into CAM software. Along this, you will be involved in code reviews to continuously improve our code base. Additionally, you'll be responsible for quality via testing, analyzing, and engagement with customers. You analyze our customers' needs to enhance the product's performance and identify problems before they reach production stage.
About You
You are a team player with a profound interest in technical challenges. You have no issues coordinating heterogenous teams and working along different threads. One of your strengths is to bring clarity into chaos. When developing software, you are pragmatic and you prioritize user satisfaction. You succeed in finding the right balance between implementing a working version fast, while keeping long-term scalability. You are deeply invested in achieving meaningful results and strive for excellence. You can work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements. You are eligible to work in Switzerland.
Responsibilities
‒ Implementation and testing of algorithms and interfaces to solve manufacturing problems
‒ Create tools that help the CAM engineering team validate performance and correctness of their implementation
‒ Define, document, and support the implementation of a scalable software architecture
‒ Documentation of architecture, data flow, and data schemas
‒ Implement CAM UI elements
‒ Maintain good software quality and sustainable development. Review code developed by the CAM engineering team members, and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., reusability, testability, efficiency, and style)
Required Skills
‒ Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in a quantitative field
‒ Good knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as C++, and C# .NET
‒ Strong understanding of software design
‒ Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems
‒ Good understanding of version control, testing, continuous integration, build, deployment and monitoring
‒ Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., LLMs) to enhance productivity and accelerate code delivery
Advantageous:
‒ Experience with CAD/CAM software development
‒ Experience with documentation and project management
Tech Stack:
‒ C# for integration with Windows-based systems
‒ High-performance modules and CAM adapters in C++ and C#
‒ Python for backend and automation
‒ Postgres for data warehousing
‒ CI/CD pipelines using GitHub actions (build, test, and automation)
‒ WPF / Winform / MFC for CAM UI elements
You receive
‒ Personal growth potential: You will be a key member and be part of the success story
‒ Personal development: Free time to follow your personal interests and goals
‒ Time Off and Flexibility: Generous vacation and flexible work hours
‒ Generous pension plan
